  Despite the great reviews, my experience was rather unpleasant. Before I explain, I'll say that the shop has a great location, has a beautiful layout inside, and has some incredible pieces available with a wide selection to choose from. On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly and very helpful. I walked in and was greeted, then I explained what I was looking for, and the lady behind the counter pointed me in the right direction. I was looking for a necklace for my girlfriend for Christmas, and had something rather specific in mind. I immediately notice a necklace with all the right colors, size, and shape, but best of all? A price tag of $175. The lady holds it up so I can see it around her neck, and I can already picture my girlfriend wearing it. I say "that's the one", but as I'm getting ready to pay, she explains that the price under the necklace is just for the CHAIN, the pendant is an extra $600. How does that make any sense? Why would you not display the price of the whole necklace? I would have even given them a pass if they wanted to just display the price of the pendant and charge more for the chain, but why advertise just the price of the chain?? That would be like if I owned a car lot, and I walked you around, we found a car you liked that was within your budget, I let you test drive it and you really really liked it, and then I told you the price I'm advertising is just for the tires, the car actually costs almost 5 times the price that's on it. I politely told the lady that was out of my price range, but thanked her for her time, and I left the store incredibly embarrassed. It just seemed really shady, like I was being lied to in the hopes that I'd fall in love with a piece and then be willing to pay whatever price they put on it. I'm not saying don't visit this store, they have a great selection, just be pushy about asking the price of everything before you get too excited about a piece. I'm personally far too embarrassed to ever set foot in this store again...

  I had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a great selection and the pricing was more then fair. I would recommend going there as I will definitely be returning.

  Wow!! Where do I start. The words " just so lovely" come to mind when I think or talk about my experience with Jeff and staff at the Barrie location. Just so lovely. Their work is beyond reproach. I could not have been more satisfied with every aspect of dealing with DC Taylor Jewellers. The finished product spectacular and the cost was so very fair. When I picked up rings I was so ecstatic I was moved to tears. Bar none, best ever experience from start to finish!!! Highly, Highly, recommend DC Taylor for something new and spectacular to repairs !! Sincerely thanking you for everything :)

  Got 3 bands there. Picked 2 up at the time of purchase, and 1 was made to order and picked up when ready. Great pricing and decent selection. The staff were very helpful.
