  Genson and Wendy were great to deal with when purchasing my fiancées engagement ring. They worked with me on price, helped me pick out a beautiful ring from an exclusive collection (only a few locations carry it and this one is one of them) and set me up with a care plan all within my budget. I bought the ring well in advance of the proposal and every time I walked by the store, whether I went in or not, I was greeted by name and asked "so, did you do it yet?" Their care and attention to detail in my experience was fantastic. The diamonds are ethica, product is very nice and lifetime warranty means they stand behind their product. Thanks! We'll definitely be in soon to purchase the wedding rings!

  BUYER BEWARE!!! Where do I even start? I'm currently on my THIRD engagement ring because they keep falling apart. My first one got destroyed when I took it back to Michael Hill to get it sized. It came back broken and they actually gave it to me like that! The band was cracked on both sides and one of the diamonds on the band was missing. I took it back and they gave me the one off the floor. I had it for a week and a diamond fell out of the top. For my third ring, they ordered it straight from the factory. I picked it up today. Stay tuned for another review if it breaks again. Now my ring easily cost a few thousand dollars so it should not be falling apart this easily. It's so poorly made it's ridiculous. AND don't even get me started on the customer service. I talked them into giving me a discount on a wedding band and the first person I talked to told me that I would get it for 50-70% off the original price. When I went to pick it up today, another guy (who had spoken to guy #1 and knew the amount I was told) proceeded to tell me that he could only give it to me for 35% off. How frustrating! He also didn't even bring it up when giving me my new ring today. I had to ask him about it. And guy #1 tried to make the situation better by offering me a bottle of wine. Nice gesture but a) I don't drink wine and b) I think I should get a little more for all this trouble than a $10 bottle of wine. I have also repeatedly tried to contact head office and was told that someone would call me. And did they call? Of course not! I was told TWICE that they would and I didn't receive a call either time. If you think I sent them a nasty email tonight, you're absolutely right. I highly recommend not shopping at Michael Hill. Between the product quality and the customer service, I wouldn't even send my worst enemy there.
