I had to bring in a puppy dog ( not mine) who needed at stitch. I had such a good experience with Huronia. Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I was seen very quickly. The service and the comfort of the dog was excellent. The vet (a lady) was very friendly and forthcoming. She was quick and efficient. I was offered a beverage while I waited. Was informed all through the procedure how the dog was doing. The bill was extremely fair. I will definitely use this Veterinary Emergency Clinic again should I need to. Thank you.

DO NOT go here if you love your pets. These people only care about the money and have absolutely no compassion, empathy or even manners! My daughter took her dog here after he was hit by a car. They refused to look at him until 75% of the expected bill was paid. Ok fine...put $800 down. They took X-rays (over $400) and drained air from his chest (he had collapsed lung) after 2 hours they call her and say there is nothing they can do for him....basically they don’t have the time to continue removing the air from his chest and suggested he be put down. My daughter goes back to barrie to see him and discuss any options and was told there is nothing they can do and that they have animals to treat?!? Ya how about the dog dying in front of you that we just paid $800 upfront for??? The lady then proceeded to slam the door on them because “her shift was over”

Edit in response to their reply - you can not discuss this with a third party? Are you kidding me....you definitely had no issues taking a third party's credit card number over the phone so that my daughters puppy had a fighting chance of survival!!!! Disgusting

We would thank all the staff at Huronia Vet for your kindness and support during our recent visit with our beloved Barney. A special thankyou to Angela for her sincere compassion and support throughout our difficult time. Even though we lost Barney..we know that the doctors and technicians tried their best to save him. We highly recommend Huronia Vet to anyone that has a fur baby.

I suspected my seven year old Bichon Frise, Rosie, accidentally got into some deadly mouse poison. She was showing mild symptoms on Saturday, Sept. 16th, 2017. However, I suspected she got into this deadly poison a few days earlier but was in denial until the mild symptoms. We rushed her to the Huronia Veterinary Emergency Clinic. Her vitals were stable and the clinic was crowded so we waited. Later the emergency vet did the appropriate tests and realized the urgency of treatment due to the suspected poisoning. She highly recommended a plasma transfusion which we agreed to. Given Rosie's vital signs at 5:30 am just after the transfusion, we are fairly certainly she would have died without immediate treatment.. In addition the overnight emergency vet did not risk giving Rosie a red blood cell transfusion directly after the plasma trans fusion due to the risks of back to back transfusions. Everything done saved Rosie's life and I am grateful they had all the resources to do this. Here are photos of Rosie taken this afternoon after a home groom on December 23, 2017. The money spent to save his life is priceless. We are grateful.

Not only did Dr. Erica Lutman give my 3 month old kitten an uneven amount of an opiod medication while taking her in to get her hip/lef looked at (supposed to be 0.8ml, most read over the amount and a few under with only one being correct), she also failed to see an obvious fracture of her knee until 2 days later after I already made a complaint about the medication. The manager was great and gave me a full refund on everything, but something needs to be done with Dr. Lutman as that was a critical omission of care. I would never trust this vet with any of my animals again and would advise everyone to stay as far away from this office as possible if you would actually like your animal to be treated with care.
