  Lovely staff, lovely cakes, cupcakes, and cookies. I gave very little direction when ordering a cake for a 60th birthday and I loved the beautiful design that was made. It was perfect; we appreciate the attention to detail!

  I have used them 2 years in a row for my sons birthday cake. Always showed them pics and gave them some ideas and they take it from there. Love their work. Cake is very tasty. My guests always love it. Very pleased. Looking forward to next years cake. Will not disappoint!

  Brought in a picture for an idea of a cake for my girlfriend's birthday - their version was identical with my slight modifications in mind, ready on time and tasted great. Paid exactly what they quoted me originally - would recommend.

  Our wedding took place on October 28, 2017 at the Barrie Country Club. After meeting the very personable Christine at a wedding show and being thoroughly impressed with her products, we decided to go with Cakes by Design for our wedding cake. Our cake was 3 tiers (Chocolate, Coconut, and Orange Dream) with buttercream icing and was absolutely delicious. The creators also molded a dinosaur replica to come out the back of the cake as per requested. Our guests loved this little extra. There was a slight mishap at the fault of the delivery individuals that involved our cake topper falling and damaging our cake. We did not feel that they were equipped or prepared enough to deal with this issue and were not entirely happy with how it was handled. They simply stuck some of my flowers in the cake to hide the damage. Despite this problem, we were definitely impressed with the taste and look of the cake, as were our guests. We only wish we had ordered a bigger cake as it was gone so quickly.
